Description
Pitted and abraded slate with incised inscription which has lost much of its white filling. It commemorates William Edward Jones (1833-38) and his father Joseph Jones (1786-1853), draper, Sheriff (1838) and Mayor (1844).

Also the above named
JOSEPH JONES, who died on the 27:th Nov:r 1853,
Aged 67 Years.
He was an Alderman of this Borough
and had filled the office
of Mayor and Sheriff.
