Floor Slab – Sir John Lister
Description
Currently under carpet in Choir, grey stone heraldic ledger commemorating Sir John Lister (1587-1640), merchant, Mayor, MP and knight; son of John Lister snr, husband of Elizabeth (née Arminge/Airmyn). There is a heraldic achievement in a roundel approx 840 mm in diameter: Lister arms are ermine, on a fess sable 3 mullets or (ermine, with a black horizontal band on which are 3 gold/yellow stars). The crest is a stag's head erminois, attired argent (ermine-patterned, with white/silver antlers).
